Ettie and James married in 1894 (reg: 4346). James was the fifth child of thirteen born to Robert Walker and Jessie Freeland. Robert was a carpenter by trade and is listed in trade directory’s 1878-79 as living at Barney St, Kiama. He is also listed in the 1903 electoral roll at the same address with his wife and daughter Jessie Freeland. Ettie and James’ children were as follows:
