Samuel and Sophia married on the 11^th June 1885 at Broughton Creek, NSW. They were the first of five Anderson siblings to marry children of John Bailey and Elizabeth King. They followed several of their sons north to the Coffs Harbour area around 1910 and settled in the Boambee area with their family. Sam and Sophia, or Alice as she was known, were to have a large family of thirteen children.
