Dixon (Dick) and Olive (Ollie) were married at Thora on the 18th December in 1926. Ollie was the daughter of Arthur James Rose and Ellen Louisa Ogden. They were to later have a family of two children, a son and a daughter, born 22 years apart. Dick was a farmer at Sawtell for many years and also had a milk run around Sawtell, delivering milk to householders of the area. The land is now sold and has been developed as a housing estate. Ollie still resided in Lyons Road until shortly before her death in May 1997. Their family is as below:
